The Dentistry Alumni Committee (DAC) has confirmed DentDays dates for the next three years! Plan to be in Halifax on the third weekend in October: October 18-19, 2024 | October 17-18, 2025 | October 16-17, 2026.

The annual gathering on campus provides alumni with the opportunity to plan their own class reunion activities around the scheduled DentDays activities.

The schedule includes tours of the clinic, class photos, reunion pins, special 50^th reunion luncheons with the dean, CE Day, and the presentation of Outstanding Alumni Awards. We will wrap up the weekend with a Kitchen Party at the Grawood Pub in the Student Union Building.

This year there will be a few new additions, including a special event for the 25^th reunion classes plus an opportunity to connect with past and current faculty members. Full details will be shared in the next few issues of The Current.

We hope announcing the dates will inspire classes to start planning their milestone reunions 5^th, 10^th, 15^th, 20^th etc. Class representatives plan the reunions with the help of our alumni engagement office. Please reach out for more information on how we can help at alumni.dentistry@dal.ca.

OAA nominations
One of the highlights of the DentDays is the presentation of the Outstanding Alumni Awards. These awards are given to dentistry or dental hygiene graduates who have made special and/or distinctive contributions to their communities, profession, society at large or to the Faculty of Dentistry.

We encourage all alumni and reunion classes to submit nominations. The deadline is May 1, 2024. Please visit our website for more details and to download the nomination form.
