The MacEachen Institute for Public Policy and Governance is a collaboration between Dalhousie's Faculties of Arts & Social Sciences, Health, Law and Management, as well as the Office of the Vice-President, Research.
The MacEachen Institute's Scholarly Director identifies key strategic research directions and priorities for the Institute, with oversight from the Governing Council.

Jerry Bannister is the Scholarly Director of the MacEachen Institute and a professor at Dalhousie’s Department of History, where he specializes in Canadian history, modern Atlantic Canada, and the early modern Atlantic world.
