Dean of Science, Chuck Macdonald

Dalhousie University, Canada

First, I would like to say how thrilled I am to be the new Dean of the the Faculty of Science at Dalhousie. It is a true honour to be serving at one of the top science univerities in Canada. I have heard nothing but positive things and cannot wait to work with you all. I am excited to continue to enhance the academic experience within the Dal Science community.

My goal as Dean of Science is to support each member of our community to achieve their ambition and to empower our next generation of scientists to reach their goals. Now more than ever, we need well-trained and well-rounded scientists, and I call upon our students, faculty, staff and alumni to make your mark.

Whether you’re a future Dal Science student, a current undergraduate or graduate student, a faculty or staff member, an alumnus, or friend of the Faculty, I hope you stay in touch with us. Follow us on social media and stay informed by reading the latest news about our achievements, or by attending an upcoming event. I’m looking forward to connecting with you and wish you all the best.
