The Faculty of Science is Dalhousie’s largest faculty and is home to over 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students from all over the world, 18 undergraduate programs, 10 graduate programs, and more than 200 faculty members.

We are a research-intensive faculty that conducts millions of dollars of research annually in areas such as oceans and marine biology, energy storage, clean energy and climate change, pediatric pain management and so much more. Be part of Atlantic Canada’s research powerhouse, which also boasts a strong teaching and research partnership with Dalhousie University’s Medical School (including research opportunities for students).

Based out of the Life Sciences Centre (LSC) at Dalhousie’s Halifax Studley Campus, our faculty is a world-class site for teaching and learning in the sciences – our professors win local, national and international teaching awards and we offer a range of in-the-classroom and experiential learning opportunities to suit every interest.
