Open House 2011

Since 1818, we've seen almost everything. (Almost).

Deciding where to attend university is a big decision. Come to Open House Friday, October 14 to attend classes, eat in a dining hall, check out res life and meet professors — try us on for the day. We have lots of great sessions and a special track for parents and guardians! Register early and select the sessions that match your interests.

The rain may be coming but our doors are still wide open, and we can’t wait to see you at Dalhousie’s Open House.

Everything will go ahead as planned with one important change – the kick-off ceremonies will now take place in the Dalplex, just off South Street (and directly across from the entrance to Alumni Crescent, near Wickwire Field).

Dalplex will be host to our welcome event featuring live music, registration and prize give-aways. We’re excited to greet you at Open House 2011 and we won’t let a little rain get us down. Please remember that you will be traveling to each of your sessions, grab an umbrella and rain coat and dress for the weather.

Directions, Parking and Accommodations

We have assembled a quick travel guide that tells you how to get to Dalhousie, where to stay in Halifax, and where you can park in and around Campus. Contact us directly if you have any questions we haven't answered here.

Special parking has been arranged for the event and we'll be offering a shuttle service from the nearby Waegwoltic Club.
