Celebrating 2020 Dalhousie Legacy Awards – video series

Posted by Human Resources on February 16, 2021 in Human Resources

Last year’s Dalhousie Legacy Award event may have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we found other ways to celebrate and recognize the award recipients. In January, we held in-person and virtual presentations with President Saini, and today we are launching a weekly video series featuring the 2020 Legacy Award recipients. Beginning on Tuesday, Feb 16, we will showcase the recipients’ videos on our Dal social media channels and the Dal Legacy Awards website.

Aziz Bojang is the first to be recognized in our video series. He is a member of the Dal Security Services team and has been working on campus throughout the pandemic. Aziz is the 2020 recipient of the Facilities Management Stoker Award for Appreciation. Congratulations, Aziz!

Please help us share the Legacy videos through your social media channels and within your faculties, departments and units.

There were 22 Legacy Award recipients recognized in 2020 for their achievements and accomplishments throughout the year. To see the full list, visit www.dal.ca/legacyawards. The Legacy Awards were introduced in 2018 as part of the university's 200th anniversary celebrations. The awards are part of a broader institutional effort to recognize faculty and staff for their extraordinary efforts on behalf of Dalhousie University.
