Supporting Career Success in Nova Scotia for New Immigrants event

Posted by Human Resources on May 12, 2017 in Human Resources

The Human Resources department and Dalhousie Professional Managerial Group (DPMG) will host a one-day professional development event, “Supporting Career Success in Nova Scotia for New Immigrants” on Tuesday, May 16, Ondatjee Hall/Scotiabank Auditorium, Marion McCain Building. While the registration is full for the event, we wanted to inform the Dal community about the event.

The event will provide job-ready immigrants opportunities to develop their skills and access resources, services and partners to help lead them to a successful career in Nova Scotia. The day will include a panel discussion on immigrants’ career experiences, an expo of career resources, and facilitated networking opportunities.

This event is part of Dalhousie’s Growing Communities Event Series developed by HR and DPMG to help celebrate the 200th anniversary. The intent of the event series is to host an annual event focused on serving the needs of our external community by sharing Dal’s expertise, resources, services and partners. Dalhousie Growing Communities Event Series is also one of the projects under the university’s Strategic Priority 3.2/3.3 to promote a culture of service and engagement for students, faculty and staff.
