The Faculty of Agriculture invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE) career stream appointment in Business at the rank of Instructor or Senior Instructor (dependent upon qualifications and expertise) commencing July 1, 2017. The successful candidate will: develop and teach courses, the majority of which are in accounting, along with other courses in finance and general business areas at the undergraduate and diploma levels; lead the process of academic program/curriculum renewal and revision; and serve as coordinator and academic advisor to students in the Diploma in Business Management, and Bachelor of Technology in Small Business Management programs.

Applicants must have a Canadian professional accounting designation (e.g., Chartered Professional Accountant), a master's degree (preferably in accounting), and university teaching experience in accounting. In addition, applicants must have demonstrated experience employing experiential learning principles, knowledge of instructional design techniques, experience implementing various models of curriculum delivery including (i.e, onsite, online and blended learning). Preference will be given to applicants with education or practical experience in student advising, and education or experience in academic program coordination, as well as experience in agriculture. Furthermore, applicants with published research related to pedagogy, student advising or academic administration will be considered an asset.

The Department of Business and Social Sciences is one of four departments in the Faculty of Agriculture. The Department has a nationally recognized unique strength in agribusiness education and research, as well as education and research in agricultural and applied economics. Agriculture in today's world is an interesting and challenging industry where you can have a real impact. Our unique programs combine the core disciplines of agricultural sciences with business management, economics and innovative technology. Thus, demonstrated ability to work in a collegial and interdisciplinary environment will be preferred.
