Dalhousie Law continued its climb into the top 100 in the 2026 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject

Dal placed 85th globally for the discipline in the world’s most-watched global subject ranking out this week, up four spots year over year and 15 spots from 2024 when it placed at 100. It placed 6th in Canada.

The THE World University Rankings by Subject assess institutional performance across 11 broad disciplines and 31 individual subjects. The methodology is grounded in five pillars: Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, International Outlook, and Industry.

Each subject area applies tailored weightings, thresholds, and recalibrations to reflect disciplinary differences and characteristics.
