Dalhousie University presents our PepsiCo Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 19, 2023.
Amelia Hartnett, Volleyball
Fourth-year outside hitter Amelia Hartnett is this week’s female PepsiCo Athlete of the Week.
Amelia helped the Tigers to sweep the Sea-Hawks this past weekend in St. John’s starting both games for the Tigers. On Friday she recorded nine kills, four digs and four blocks for the Tigers. She followed that up on Saturday with eight kills and six blocks for 11.5 points.
A health administration student, Amelia is from Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Sam Maillet, Basketball
Fourth-year guard Sam Maillet is this week’s male PepsiCo Athlete of the week.
Sam was instrumental in the Tigers games this past weekend. On Friday night Sam scored 16 points for the Tigers, pulled in four defensive rebounds, and added five assists. On Sunday, he was key in the Tigers 88-85 win over UPEI scoring 10 points and 6 assists for the Tigers, while also pulling in 4 rebounds and adding a block.
Hailing from Moncton, New Brunswick, Sam is studying sustainability.
