Pride celebrations are spread throughout the summer months in cities and communities around the world. But in Halifax, it's in July that people typically gather to celebrate 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and communities.

Appropriately, last Thursday (July 13), members of the Dal community in Halifax gathered to mark Pride season with the raising of the Progress Pride Flag on the Studley Quad.

The event featured speaking remarks from representatives of Dal administration, DalOut and the Queer Faculty & Staff caucus, and was followed by a community BBQ in the courtyard of Risley Hall nearby.
