Not every university gets its own holiday — but Dalhousie has just that.
Munro Day is a university-wide holiday celebrated on the first Friday in February. It honours George Munro, a man who made several significant financial donations to Dalhousie in the 19th century at a time when the university was in dire financial straits. His gifts funded multiple research chairs, many student scholarships and helped keep the university's doors open.
Whether this is your first Munro Day, or if you've been part of the university community long enough to lose count, here's your chance to show just how much you know about the man named Munro — and maybe learn something new in the process!
