Faculty of Management

Congratulations to the Faculty of Management upon being selected by European CEO magazine for the Global Business Education award for most innovative business school in Canada.

“Being named the Most Innovative Business School in Canada by European CEO magazine is an affirmation of the advances Dalhousie has made in creating new models for delivering management education and the potential they hold for producing a new generation of managers schooled in values-based management … Our Faculty has engaged the public and private sectors, its faculty and its students in a collaborative process to create innovative approaches to management education that have already begun to bear fruit.  Receiving recognition from the European business community in the form of this award adds to the momentum we have created,” said Peggy Cunningham, Dean, Dalhousie Faculty of Management.

The judging panel consisted of representatives from the global accreditation board, senior journalists and senior executives from European companies. (See story "Innovation in Management" in European CEO magazine.)

“For 20 years, the IB&M Initiative has provided law school access to Blacks and Aboriginal Peoples who have developed into excellent lawyers and role models and who, by their very presence, are agents of change in the legal profession,” stated Beth Bilson, QC, Chair of the CBA’s Equity Committee. The Touchstone Award celebrates the accomplishments of an individual or an organization that has excelled in promoting equality in the legal profession, the judiciary, or the legal community in Canada. The award recognizes significant national initiatives to advance equality and/or contribution relating to race, disability, sexual orientation or other diversity issues in the community. This is the first time that the Touchstone Award has been granted to an organization rather than an individual.
