Jocelyn Leblanc of the Tigers women’s hockey team has been selected as the Dalhousie Female Athlete of the Week for her efforts this weekend in the Tigers 4-3 overtime win over the Universite de Moncton. Jocelyn scored both the tying goal in the third period and the overtime winner in Friday night’s victory – the first for the Tigers over Moncton in five years.

The win leaves the Tigers in third place in the AUS, two points behind the Universite de Moncton with a game in hand. 

Ms. Leblanc is a fourth-year Kinesiology student from Moncton, NB.

Joe Schow, Basketball

The starting centre for the men’s basketball team, Joe Schow has been selected as this week’s Dalhousie Male Athlete of the Week. In Sunday’s four-point 85-68 win over UPEI Joe led the Tigers on both ends of the court with 25 points and 15 boards. The Tigers earned two wins to start the AUS season, opening the year with a win over Acadia on Tuesday night, followed by Sunday’s victory. Mr. Schow is in his fifth-year of eligibility and hails from Medicine Hat, Alberta.
