2025 Science As Art Photo Contest
The 2025 Science As Art photo contest is now open. Please submit your photo before August 31, 2024. Entries can be sent via email to Jocelyn Adams Moss (jocelyn.adams@dal.ca).
The winning submissions are chosen by an internal committee based on their scientific nature and their ability to reflect different departments within the Faculty of Science. Owners of the selected photos will be contacted if their eligble submission is chosen to be featured.
Rules of Entry
- You must be a Faculty of Science alum, faculty member (current or retired), staff member or student to participate.
- Photographs, images or any visual representation of science experienced in your work or life are eligible.
- Each person may only submit one photograph or image. Please ensure your contact information will be correct as of January 2025.
- Photos and images must be print quality (300 dpi), landscape orientation, and in .jpeg format. Digital files should be at least 1-2 MB in size.
Photo Submission
Along with your photo, please include:
- Image title
- Image description (this will be used to form your photo's caption)
- Where was the image was taken/created?
- When was the image taken/created?
- Your Name
- Mailing Address
- Phone Number
- E-mail Address
By entering your photo or image, you’re giving Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Science permission to use it and print your full name in the Science As Art calendar, on Dalhousie-operated websites and on Dalhousie-operated social media accounts. All photos and images used will be given credit appropriately.
