International Students

International students are commonly attracted to undergraduate and graduate programs in the Faculty of Management for the opportunity to not only earn a degree, but also gain employment experience in Canada.

Being new to Canada, international students can anticipate a steeper learning curve when securing employment in a foreign job market. Management Career Services is available to help you gain the knowledge and skills required to successfully secure employment.

We don't just want to help you find a job, we want to help you with your career. We highly recommend that international students engage in the process early. Some resources that will be particularly beneficial to you include: 

Work permits

International students are permitted to work both on-campus and off-campus.

All international students are permitted to work on-campus for Dalhousie University without the need for work authorization. For a list of on-campus employment opportunities, visit Dalhousie's Student Careers and Leadership Development Centre.

In order to work off-campus, you will need one of the following:

All International Students in the Faculty of Management are welcome to contact Communication Specialist, Dr. Linda Macdonald. Dr. Macdonald provides appointments, drop-in hours and seminars exclusively for undergraduate and graduate international students in the Faculty of Management.
