Presentation: Trauma-Informed Lawyering

In the lead-up to the celebration of International Women's Day (March 8), the Dalhousie Feminist Legal Association (DFLA) and the Dalhousie Health Law Students' Association (DHLSA) invite members of the Schulich Law community to a trauma-informed lawyering presentation from Cassandra Armsworthy, partner and family law lawyer at Patterson Law.

The session, which was previously presented to the Canadian Bar Association, will explore how trauma impacts client experiences, offer practical approaches to compassionate advocacy, and discuss vicarious trauma, including ways lawyers can reduce the emotional toll of difficult files.
