National Exams

The Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators is committed to the development and improvement of regulatory standards of practice for physiotherapists. The alliance administers the Physiotherapy National Examination (PNE) to determine that a minimal entry-level standard has been acquired by Canadian-educated and non Canadian-educated physiotherapists before granting them a license to practice physiotherapy in a province of Canada.

Most provinces (but not New Brunswick) require that all new graduates from an accredited physiotherapy program do both a written and oral component in order to practice in their province.
