The Dalhousie Dental Lab took "scaling" to a whole new level in 2015
On Friday, October 30, the Faculty of Dentistry hosted its sixth annual Pumpkin Carving Contest. In total, a dozen carved creations were on display for more than 150 members of the Dalhousie campus community who stopped by to view and vote.
The Dental Lab took first prize for the most in-person votes, followed by the Dentistry Alumni Committee in second place and Custodial Services in third place. The Lab received a delicious maple pumpkin cheesecake and the Dentistry Alumni Committee received some amazing pumpkin cupcakes.
Those who were unable to attend the festivities in person were able to vote for their favourite pumpkin through an online vote. The School of Dental Hygiene walked away with a gift certificate for some sweet treats of their own.
The Faculty of Dentistry would like to thank all of the alumni, departmental and student groups for participating, and to acknowledge the kind donations from Atlantic Superstore (Barrington Street), Pro-Dent Laboratory and Susie’s Shortbreads for helping to make this event possible!
