On Monday, December 10, the Faculty of Dentistry got into the holiday spirit with a festive Door Decorating contest. A total of 10 departmental teams took part in the festivities, which saw more than 70 voters participate in the fun.
“It was great to see the whole Dentistry Building take part in the fun,” said Dentistry Dean Dr. Tom Boran. “There were some really creative entries, which wasn’t at all surprising, given the colourful personalities we have in our Faculty Family!”
The contest winners were announced at the Faculty’s annual holiday on December 11. The Patient & Information Services team of Angela Pitman and Donna Dickie emerged as the victor, with a dead heat at runner-up between Building Services/Dental Stores/DIR and the Dean’s Office.
So, what did Angela and Donna win for their efforts, aside from bragging rights? They were given front-of-the-line access to the buffet lunch – a kind of VIP treatment that money just can’t buy!
Happy Holidays from the Faculty of Dentistry!
