Manufacturing Practitioner Certificate Program (100% Online)

This certificate program is 100% online. It consists of three modules covering the different phases of manufacturing from a non-mathematical and practical point of view. It includes all facets and activities related to manufacturing of quality product.

How to organize and manage manufacturing, while controlling quality and cost.

Who Should Attend

This course is intended for those who would like to learn about the manufacturing practice and apply the acquired knowledge in their work, as manufacturing engineering professionals, supervisors and managers. It will assist in understanding how products are manufactured in a rigorous and methodical manner, for executive management, financial managers and support personnel as well as project managers in the manufacturing sector.

Course Content

This online course consists of three modules. Live online sessions are every Wednesday, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Module I: Manufacturing - Fundamentals and Basics (7 weeks)
August 1 - September 19, 2018

Module II: Manufacturing - Intermediate Aspects (6 weeks)
October 31 - December 12, 2018

Module III: Manufacturing - Advanced Aspects (6 weeks)
February 13 - March 27, 2019

Certificate Requirements

It is highly recommended that participants complete the three modules in sequential order. The certificate is awarded after the completion of the three modules, including all quizzes and final exams. This represents approximately 135 hours of training which includes online sessions, home study, assignments and exam preparation. Participants must attain a minimum of 65% for each module and an aggregate average of at least 75% in the program.

Isaac Glick, MSc, P.Eng., is a weathered manufacturing practitioner with 40 years of experience in a variety of industries, from food to high-tech, in different sectors, including prepared foods, defence, avionics, aerospace, space, energy conversion, communications and semiconductors. He has a BSc in chemistry and an MSc in Engineering Physics. In his career Isaac held key and management positions in research and development, engineering, quality assurance and manufacturing in associated industries and institutions.
