Please note: We do not accept automatic transfers of theory, aural skills, or applied skills classes. You must complete an audition followed by equivalency testing (as appropriate) prior to the start of classes.

Audition/Interview Information

We recommend that you audition/interview in-person. Video auditions (instrument/voice) will be accepted for those who cannot/prefer not to travel. Videos received by March 10, 2023 will be considered for entrance funding. The Fountain School will communicate with all applicants re additional testing in theory, aural skills and keyboard. All tests must be completed by March 10 to be considered for entrance funding.

Deadlines

Feb. 24, 2023

Deadline to submit your 2022 Supplemental Application Form directly to the Fountain School of Performing Arts for scholarship consideration.
March 1, 2023

UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE!

Ensure that your Undergraduate Application to Dalhousie (or King’s) is complete, including all high school or transfer institution transcripts.  Apply at dal.ca/admissions. Remember to apply for a General Entrance Award Application. Visit dal.ca/scholarships.
March 10, 2023 Final date for scholarship audition/interview.  Applicants who wish to be considered for Music entrance scholarships must audition/interview and completed required testing by this date. Audition videos must be received by this date.
Early April 2023 University and Music scholarships announced
May 2023 Late auditions, pending space availability (non-scholarship)
June 1, 2023 Applications received after this date subject to a $25 late fee and pending studio availability.
