The New to Dal – Agricultural Campus 2022 schedule is now live!

Posted by stephanie Rogers on August 24, 2022 in News

New to Dal programming will run from September 1st – 6th, with extended events happening throughout September.

Student Success, and DASA along with support from FCC and our campus partners are thrilled to be supporting on campus New to Dal programming this fall! Our current schedule is posted to our website, www.dal.ca/new-to-dal-ac  with minor edits expected throughout the summer as we continue to confirm event details.

We will be returning to our more traditional New to Dal programming, with most events happening in-person, however, we will continue to offer an overview of university supports on our New to Dal Brightspace site and run some online programming, particularly for our international students. Many of these virtual events will be supported by our partners on the Halifax campus, full details for virtual events can be found at www.dal.ca/new-to-dal.

Staff and Faculty who are interested in participating and supporting New to Dal programming are invited to join us for Induction on Saturday, September 3rd at 1:30pm in the Alumni Theater. Athletics will be hosting several events, including a soccer and rugby exhibition game during the week of New to Dal; all campus community members are welcome to come out and show their Aggie spirit!

We are also looking for staff/Faculty volunteers to help support ASK ME! Booths throughout the first week of classes. If you can spare a few moments between classes to answer student questions, provide directions and hand out maps please let us know by emailing newtodal@dal.ca. We are looking for volunteers for the following dates, please note you do not need to be available for the entire time:

·         Tuesday, September 6th 9:30am – 11:30am at the Cox Institute

·         Wednesday, September 7th 9:30am – 1:30pm at Haley

·         Thursday, September 8th 8:00am – 10:00am at Collins

Come out and help us welcome students back to campus this fall!
