False starts, setbacks, and uncertainty didn’t stop twenty-two industry partners and on campus units from setting up displays in the Langille Athletic Centre, Thursday, March 31 to engage with our students. The Annual AggieWIL Fair was once again held in person after the pandemic forced a hiatus last year.
Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture, Cavendish-Agri, Masstown Market, Oxford Foods, 4-H, FCC, and several others came to campus to engage with our students face-to-face. At the end of the day, over 125 students came out to see these wonderful industry partners and discuss possibilities.
This year hopefully marks a new beginning allowing us to expand our reach and continue to grow the event. The desired future outcome is to have the Langille packed with industry partners, on campus representatives, students and prospective students.
Many different on campus units came together to support the event setting the bar for next year and many years to come. Special thanks to Gillian Hatch, Lauren Peters, Kamryn Findlay, Andrew Harding and the LAC staff, and the department representatives from International, Plant, Food & Environmental Science, and Business & Social Science for their time and support. Finally, thanks to the Dean’s Office for the continued support and assistance – Aggies Once.
