Description: DAAGS is hosting an off-campus litter pick-up in cooperation with the Municipality of Colchester and the Great Nova Scotia Pick-Me-Up!
When: Oct 4th at 2:00 pm
Where: Starting at Holy Well Park, Main St Bible Hill
Details: We will be meeting at Holy Well Park on Main St in Bible Hill. We will review the COVID and safety guidelines and hand-out pick-up supplies. We will be providing everyone with clear garbage bags and latex gloves. We will also have a limited number of high-visibility vests, grabbers, and work gloves.
We ask that volunteers complete a sign-up form so we can ensure we bring the appropriate amount of supplies. If you want to join, but were unable to fill out the form, please know you are more than welcome, but supplies may be limited but we plan to bring some extras.
Our planned route is to travel down Main St towards the racetrack and returning to the park around 4:00 - 4:30 pm.
COVID Precautions:
We are asking all volunteers to wear a non-medical mask or face covering at all times during this event. We will also ask volunteers to keep to their household bubbles when travelling to the event and limit group sizing when collecting litter. We will provide hand sanitizer, but you are encouraged to bring your own as well. Be sure to bring a water bottle that you can comfortably carry with you. We will supply volunteers with trash bags and gloves, but ask that you remain cautious of cross-contamination. Please make sure that if you or a member of your party is not feeling well, that you stay home.
