Tell us a bit about yourself
I am originally from Toronto, and I love living in Truro for university. Each semester I participate with Cultiv8, the entrepreneurial sandbox on campus.  I have also enjoyed working as an executive on Dalhousie’s Agricultural Students’ Association (DASA) for the past two years.

Career ambition?
I will be working for an agricultural investment management firm upon graduation and look forward to continuing along this route. In the future I would like the opportunity to support agricultural investment initiatives in developing countries.

What brought you to Dalhousie?
I was convinced to join the school after learning about the International Food Business program and meeting a number of awesome people from the Maritimes.

What’s the best class you’ve taken at Dalhousie and why?
Agribusiness Value Chain Management was both interesting and informative. It provided me with an excellent framework for the subject of my degree.

What do you think of your banner? Have you gotten any fun reactions to it?
Some of my friends have sent solid Snapchats with the banner, while others have offered constructive feedback on how to be more photogenic. Some have compared my throwing form to Napoleon Dynamite, while others compared it to Tommy Wiseau.      

What does it mean to you for Dalhousie to celebrate its 200th anniversary?
It is humbling to study at an institution with such vibrant history.

Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m from Toronto, in my last semester at Dalhousie. I am a varsity athlete for the Rams Soccer team. I very much enjoy physical activities and always love doing new and spontaneous things.

Career ambition?
My ambitions are to become a wildlife veterinarian. I am very interested in travelling and being able to make positive changes wherever I go in the world with my career. 

What brought you to Dalhousie?
Dalhousie has a great reputation and the program I chose had great opportunities. The Agriculture Campus had a large variety of resources that is great for the career I plan on pursuing. My program and university choice has met all my expectations. 

What’s the best class you’ve taken at Dalhousie and why?
This is a very difficult question to answer since I have enjoyed so many of the classes I have taken. I was lucky enough to be accepted to take the African Wildlife Ecology course in the summer semester after my second term year. This course allowed me to travel to South Africa and learn extensive knowledge of conservation and ecology of African ecosystems. Being a part of this course has given me so much experience that I am so grateful to have gained.

What do you think of your banner? Have you gotten any fun reactions to it?
Even though I haven’t seen my specific banner, when I saw the other ones put up around the Agriculture Campus, it gave me pride to be a part of the 200th Dalhousie anniversary.

What does it mean to you for Dalhousie to celebrate its 200th anniversary?
It is great to know I can be a part of a university that has been around for so long and has made quite a name for themselves. Dalhousie takes up only a small portion of my life but my experiences and pride for this university has taken up a much larger portion of my heart.
