United Way’s Day of Caring, September 11, is a community-wide event, which allows local businesses to make a difference by volunteering their time and energy.
It’s a wonderful opportunity for team building while giving back to the community by completing much-needed projects for local non-profits.
Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture and Perennia, together, are organizing a team to harvest carrots for the Colchester Food Bank on Friday afternoon September 11 from 1:30 to 3:30 at John Heukshorst’s farm in Clifton (there will be a rain date).
If you would like to volunteer for this afternoon of harvesting (and fun) with your colleagues, please contact Lauranne Sanderson at lauranne.sanderson@dal.ca or 902 897 6791.
