Volunteers Needed for the Dal Team for the United Way's Day of Caring

Posted by Stephanie Rogers on August 28, 2015 in News

United Way’s Day of Caring, September 11, is a community-wide event, which allows local businesses to make a difference by volunteering their time and energy.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for team building while giving back to the community by completing much-needed projects for local non-profits.

Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture and Perennia, together, are organizing a team to harvest carrots for the Colchester Food Bank on Friday afternoon September 11 from 1:30 to 3:30 at John Heukshorst’s farm in Clifton (there will be a rain date).

If you would like to volunteer for this afternoon of harvesting (and fun) with your colleagues, please contact Lauranne Sanderson at or 902 897 6791.
