Robyn McCallum President
I'm so excited to be a part of DASA for 2015/2016 as President. DASA has helped me grow as a person in so many ways and I love watching the ways it allows other students to grow and develop. I am looking forward to organizing and collaborating on events for students to develop personally and professionally. I think education outside of the classroom is really important and helps prepare our students for the job market after university. Partnering on events such as succession planning, entrepreneurship and leadership development is on my radar. I look forward to all of our campus traditions like Orientation, College Royal and Woodsmen Weekend and building school spirit.
We are so lucky to study on a small campus with a big heart. I'm excited to be part of this team and look forward to representing the student body. Hearing suggestions from you is how we can make things happen and I encourage all of you to approach DASA and make sure your voice is heard. It's a wonderful experience to get involved and make the changes happen that you want to see and DASA is here to help with that. Please stop by DASA and get to know your new executive, apply to be an orientation leader and get involved. University is what you make of it and the experiences we offer here are incredible.
Alana Bent VP Internal Affairs
I’m from the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, where I grew up on a dairy farm and with the 4-H program. I’m in second year Bachelor of Plant Science, with a minor in Business. Being in 4-H and growing up on a dairy farm has really helped develop my love for agriculture. My favourite part about the AC is how small the school is because you know everyone and how friendly they are. I enjoy how small the classes are at this school and my favourite course that I have taken here is probably Forages. My goal when I grow up is to be back in the valley farming. Next year my goals for DASA is to represent the student body as best as I can and continue to make strong relationships between students and faculty. I also want to build a stronger connection between the clubs and the rest of campus.
Emily Davis VP Finance
I am very excited for the upcoming year and I have a few things, which I would like to focus on. One of those things is making sure that DASA's budget remains balanced and that we look at ways to stretch our funds even further! Secondly, I will be working on a new budgeting system for clubs that will be on a per-term basis to help keep communications more clear. I am really looking forward to the upcoming year!
Ellen Sharp VP External
In September I will be starting my third year as a Plant Science major. I grew up on my family dairy farm right outside of Sussex, New Brunswick, where my love for agriculture first started. In my time at Dal AC I have met so many incredible teachers, mentors and friends and I am honored to have the chance to give back to the school that has given me so much. In the coming school year I hope to be able to provide some competitive house challenges for all houses. I have already started brain storming some fun new ideas and would appreciate lots of input from current or future students! I am super excited to see everyone in the fall for another great year of school
Berdien Bakker VP Administration
I am super excited to be DASA’s VP Administration for the upcoming year here at the AC. I’ll be going into my third year of Animal Science, and I hope to help make this academic year rewarding, fun and memorable. If you have any ideas, concerns or comments throughout the year, feel free to come talk to me or any of the DASA executives! We would love to hear from you and hope to see you at our many events and activities that we are already planning for next year! Looking forward to a great year!
