Dr. Gray and his family (Janine, Rebecca, Emma and Bethan) were the centerpiece of the faculty/campus float in the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition parade this past Sunday. While the miniature horses are hard to compete with, Dr. Gray is happy to lend his face, and time, to increase community exposure.
“Personal engagement and outreach are critical to Dalhousie’s role in this community,” said Gray. “We are a cornerstone of the community and when we support these kinds of events, we are saying we’re proud to be here.”
More than 2,000 spectators turned out to celebrate agriculture and the start of the five-day exhibition. You can view some parade photos at http://www.trurodaily.com/Slideshow/9086/Exhibition-Parade-2013/1 and visit the Ex site at http://nspe.ca/
