“Metaorganisms as the new frontier in biology”
Dr Bosch is director of the Zoological Institute of the Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel, where he studies molecular mechanisms controlling the development and differentiation of the cnidarian Hydra. Using this model system, he and his colleagues are doing leading-edge research on detecting novel antimicrobial molecules and treating infections caused by multi-drug resistant bacteria.
