The Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture recognized its outstanding students at the annual Scholarship Banquet held in early November. Co-op Atlantic has been a long time sponsor of scholarships on campus. Dr. Richard Donald, Associate Dean, External Strategic Partnerships & Acting Associate Dean, Research, Faculty of Agriculture, is shown congratulating the 2012 recipients: Zachary Coates, Scoudouc, NB, a first year B.Sc.(Agr.) Animal Science student, recipient of the $3,000 Co-op Atlantic Agricultural Scholarship and Keltie Anne MacIntosh, Antigonish, NS, a first year Veterinary Technology student, recipient of the $1,000 Co-op Atlantic Agricultural Scholarship. These scholarships are available to Atlantic Canadian residents for first year students at the Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture - one scholarship for a technology student and one for a degree student. Selection criteria include academic performance, extra-curricular and community involvement, work experiences and the applicant's exposure to or understanding of agricultural co-operatives.
