Fall Focus 2018 - A Call to Action. Fall Focus 2018 looks at responses to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Calls to Action in the context of learning and teaching.

Margaret Robinson (Lennox Island First Nation) speaks about L’nu-izing: creating curricula, and teaching and researching in ways that reflect Mi’kmaq values and practices. Jane Doucet writes about the significant initiatives and successes already implemented by Naiomi Metallic (Listuguj Mi’gmak First Nation) and colleagues in the Schulich School of Law, serving as a model of how to we can undertake this important work. Finally, Fred Wien (Professor Emeritus), shares his own experiences of how reconciliation can be done ‘in a good way,’ as a non-Indigenous person working closely with Indigenous peoples.

Through stories and rich resources in this issue, we hope that you will find knowledge and inspiration to undertake, or continue to embody and respond to, the TRC Calls to Action.
