To apply online, go to the Dal Online Admissions Login page.

Email the following documents to philgrad@dal.ca:

  • A one-page statement of your philosophical interests (touching on your intellectual path and how you see your work fitting with the department members’ various interests)
  • A short (10-20 page) sample of your written work.
  • Official transcripts should be emailed directly from any university or college you have attended.

Note that the online application will ask for your references. The reference information that you enter in that section must include your referees' active and current institutional email addresses. Free online email services such as gmail and yahoo will not be accepted.
