Here’s an uplifting holiday tale you may not have heard.

Did you know that the legendary Grinch almost stole Yard Sale this year? And if it wasn’t for the hard work and resourcefulness of the Dal Bookstore’s elves, he may have gotten away with it, too!

This year, the Grinch came in the form of supply-chain issues and other logistical challenges. As a result, the vast array of Yard Sale clothing and merchandise many customers flock to snatch up – including t-shirts, jackets and other popular staples – fell victim to the worldwide supply-chain troubles and could not be brought in.

However, the Dal Bookstore’s clever elves made a post-pandemic pivot and were able to bring in a large number of cool hoodies and cozy crews – all in a variety of vibrant colours with names like Robin Eggshell Blue, Green Heather, and Peach, among others, and all on sale for just $30 each.

In addition to these affordable, brightly coloured hoodies and crews, other items available for sale during Yard Sale include:

·      Select Dal-branded mugs: normally $14.99, marked down to $5

·      Ladies’ and unisex sweatpants: normally $49.99, marked down to $25

·      Full-zip men’s and ladies’ fleece jackets: normally $59.99, marked down to $30

·      30% off a wide selection of fall apparel including ladies’ quilted crews (reg. $69.99), half-zip crop hoodies (reg. $59.99), romi crews (reg. $49.99), and much more

·      Bucket hats: normally $29.99, marked down to $15

·      Other fun items including socks, chocolates (Peace by Chocolate gift boxes and Rousseau-brand chocolates), giant microbes and squishable stuffed toys, along with an array of fun games: $5-$40
