Your career does not happen by chance. It is a series of choices, a work in progress.
"Owning Your Career" is the new Dalhousie Career Management program that helps employees identify their career goals and work towards achieving them. Over a period of 9 weeks, you will go on a journey that supports you discovering your preferences, talents and skills, aligning your strengths and values to your career goals, and preparing a plan for implementing action.
The components of this program are based on Dalhousie's competencies and provide a roadmap towards supporting employees in enhancing their skills, knowledge and behaviours that are considered essential and foundational for career growth. The objective of this program is to raise awareness of the important attributes that support career progression and how those relate to the current and future workplace.
The program is
offered over 9 consecutive weeks of half-day sessions with facilitators from
Dalhousie’s Human Resources Department, utilizing a blended learning approach
of e-learning, classroom training, “boot camp” and coaching, with post-session
homework.
