POSITION:  Advanced Language Assistant/Demonstrator

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: German Department

PAY RATE: Payment is hourly as per CUPE 3912 Collective Agreement. It is anticipated that this position will take up to 2 hours per week for 20 weeks.

COURSE INFORMATION: GERM 3001: Advanced Spoken German I, GERM 3003/3004: Advanced German

Fall & Winter Terms 2019-2020 (September 1, 2019 – March 31, 2020)

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The student will conduct intensive German language oral practice sessions for students in intermediate and advanced language classes of the German Department (approx. 2 hours/wk).

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Applicants should be international degree-seeking students registered as full-time students at Dalhousie University. This position requires native or near-native fluency in German and English. Good interpersonal skills required to work with groups of students or for one-on-one interaction.

This position is funded through the International Work-Study Experience program to support the employment of international students. We welcome applications from international students.
