POSITION: Sessional Lecturer

PAY RATE: According to CUPE Contract
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The sessional lecturer will teach a one-half credit course during the winter term (January to April 2020). This one course consists of the following cross-listed classes, HEAS 4010, Management Process and Human Resource Issues in EHS, in the Diploma in Emergency Health Services Management program, and HESA 4002, Health Human Resource Management, in the Diploma in Health Services Administration program. For the course description please refer to the Dalhousie Academic Calendar. Responsibilities include: all aspects of teaching and administering the online course via Dalhousie University's e-learning system; course preparation including course content for lectures, test/assignments/exam preparation and evaluation/marking of student course work, as well as, providing tutorial support to students. The Sessional Lecturer is the Professor of Record for this course. The position reports to the Director of the School.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Master's degree in health administration; training and/or professional experience in the healthcare sector, specifically in the speciality of health human resource; and knowledge of e-learning.

Registrants include students enrolled in the Diploma in Emergency Health Services Management and the Diploma in Health Services Administration programs. Responsibilities include: all aspects of teaching and administering the online course via Dalhousie University's e-learning system; course preparation including course content for lectures, test/assignments/exam preparation and evaluation/marking of student course work, as well as, providing tutorial support to students. REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Master's degree in health administration with expertise in epidemiology or quantitative methods, several years relevant work experience, and knowledge of e-learning.
