The main Dal Bookstore in the Student Union Building will officially kick off the new academic year with its annual Community Night on Thursday, Aug. 29. That evening, the Bookstore will stay open until 8 p.m. to allow students extra time to shop for their books and supplies before classes begin.  
 
All graduate and undergraduate students are invited.  
 
In addition to textbooks and supplies, guests can also browse the Bookstore’s wide assortment of Dal-branded clothing and its extensive collection of items for home or dorm, such as pillows, fans, towels, closet organizers -- even energy-efficient mini-fridges.
 
To create a festive shopping experience and build excitement for the new academic year, the Bookstore will be offering prizes, pizza courtesy of DalCard partner vendor, Freeman’s, along with special Flash sales throughout the evening.
 
While the Bookstore is open at 9:00 a.m., the Community Night shopping event will officially get under way at 5:00 p.m.
