POSITION:  Part-time Academic

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:  School for Resource and Environmental Studies (SRES)

RATE OF PAY: According to the CUPE Agreement 

WORK ASSIGNMENT:  The sessional instructor will teach Environmental Assessment (ENVI 5001) during the 2018/19 fall term.  The calendar entry is as follows: "Students explore all aspects of environmental assessment (EA), with a focus on EA processes in Canada. The course examines professional practice in scientific, procedural and political dimensions. Current cases are studied opportunistically. Students learn the materials through case studies, seminars, group projects and research papers." The course is open to students in other parts of the University who are interested in economy and environment.

The course is scheduled for 3 hours per week to be held on Wednesday from 1435-1725, September through December 2019. In recent years, this course has attracted up to 30 students drawn from various graduate programs.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:  PhD or equivalent experience in related discipline.
