POSITION: Part-Time Academic (Fall 2019/20)
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Canadian Studies Program, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences
PAY RATE: In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT: A part-time academic is required to teach CANA 2001.03, The Idea of Canada: Social and Political Perspectives, in Fall 2019/20 (September to December, 2019). The class is currently scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday from 1:05-2:25 p.m. The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation, and student consultation. The part-time academic reports to the Coordinator of the Canadian Studies program.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Candidates must possess a PhD in a humanities discipline or interdisciplinary humanities program with research and teaching experience in Canadian Studies or a closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate deep knowledge of Canadian history, society and culture.
