The month of October became "Walktober" to promote more walking.  There were two ways to participate: create a team on the Walkabout NS website and track steps online or answer the weekly trivia questions about our campuses.  Thirteen groups signed up on Walkabout NS and 33 people participated in the trivia challenge, providing 90 responses.

Twenty people received prizes, provided by Dalplex and Johnson Insurance. Week 5 winners who received Dalplex water bottles and day
passes were J.J. Choo (Student Accounts), Jennifer Dooks (HR), Maria Fe Elder
(Math/Stats) and Amarea Greenlaw (Registrar’s Office).

The grand prizes for the month were provided by Johnson Insurance - http://dalhousie.johnson.ca.  A $100 Visa card went to Jennifer Dooks (HR)
and Merilyn Layne (Advancement) and a $50 Visa card went to Alysia Robinson (Community Health & Epidemiology).
