Positions: Part-time Academics

Pay Rate: In accordance with CUPE 3912 Collective Agreement

Fall Term:

SOSA 2181.03: Explaining Crime and Criminal Behavior, Wednesdays and Fridays 11:35-12:55

SOSA 3285.03: Sociology of Law, Tuesdays and Thursdays 14:35-15:55

Work Assignment of the Positions:

The part-time academic instructors will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the classes, including lectures, test preparation, evaluation and electronic submission of grades. The instructors are required to be available two hours per week for consultation with students. The instructors report to the Chair of the Department.

 

Requirements of Positions:  

Applicants should have teaching and/or research experience directly in the subject area at the University level, and/or a PhD completed or near completion in Sociology, Social Anthropology or related discipline.
