Today, between 11:30 and 1:00 in Room 3001 of the Rowe Management Building, an informal drop-in session gives an opportunity to share views on
workplace wellness at Dalhousie generally and the Quality of Work Life (QWL) survey specifically. Feel free to come for only part of the 1.5-hour
time available.
Every two years, Dal surveys faculty and staff to ask about four areas
of total health: physical, mental, workplace and "life" (finances, relationships and work-life blending) - resulting in a "total health" view.
Each person completing the survey receives a personal health profile to
support awareness, reflection and action in making improvements. This
results in a shared responsibility - efforts needed from the employer
and the employee - to get to a place of thriving.
Members of the Healthy Workplace Collaborative will be on hand to
engage in discussion about how we are doing and how we can be doing
better.
Comments are also welcomed by email at healthy@dal.ca.
