Position: Part time Academic – PUAD 6400 (Local Government in Canada)

              Fall Term 2017/2018 (Thursdays 1435 – 1725)

Department/Location: School of Public Administration

Pay Rate: As per the CUPE collective agreement

Work Assignment: 

The Part Time Academic will be responsible for a half credit course in the area of Local Government in Canada offered to graduate students in the Master of Public Administration program.  The successful application will be responsible for all aspects of the teaching and administration of the class and be available for two hours per week outside class times for student consultations. The candidate reports to the Director of the School.

Requirements of the Position: 

Preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D or Ph.D candidates in a relevant field or applicants with at least a Masters Degree who hold or have recently held positions at the executive level within government departments.  Preference will be given to those applicants who have recent experience teaching Local Government and demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence in an academic setting.
