Work Assignment:

This part-time academic will be required to teach POLI 2530.03, Foreign Policy in Theory and Practice, Winter Term, January 7, 2019 – April 8, 2019.  The class is currently scheduled for Monday and Wednesday from 1605-1725. This part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation.  The position reports to the Chair of the Department.

Requirements: 

Applicants must have a completed PhD, or nearly completed PhD, in Political Science or other relevant field of study. Previous university-level teaching will be an asset.

Position:                                       Part-time Academic, POLI 4390.03, Fall and Winter Term 2018-19

This part-time academic will be required to teach/coordinate POLI 4390.03:  Practicum in Public Policy: NGOs & Government Services as a 3-credit hour course spread over two terms (Fall & Winter, from September 4, 2018 to April 8, 2019). While the course will be offered to students only in the Winter term, during which time they will be working at a community organization or service for 7 hours per week, much of the work for the course coordinator will take place in the Fall term, during which time the placements will be made. This will include consulting with potential host organizations and arranging practicum placements for students. The course requirements also include periodic group meetings for the students during the Winter term, which have been tentatively set on Monday evening, 1735-2025. The course instructor will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including supervision, organization of special events, and evaluation.  The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
