Fall Term, 2018/2019 Academic Year

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:         

Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, Life Sciences Centre

PAY RATE:                                          

As per CUPE Collective Agreement

WORK ASSIGNMENT:  The Part-Time Academic will be responsible for a third-year class, Behavioural Neuroscience (PSYO/NESC 3770.03) in the Fall term. The class will tentatively be offered on TR from 1605-1725, and the anticipated class size of approximately 80 students.  The successful applicant will be responsible for all lectures, test preparation, exam administration (including supplemental examinations), and must be available for two hours per week for student consultation. Teaching assistance is available for this class. This position reports to the Chair of the Department.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:  Applicants must have a graduate degree in Psychology or Neuroscience, demonstrated teaching effectiveness, and have previous experience teaching the class material.

WORK ASSIGNMENT:               

The Part-Time Academic will be responsible for a second-year class, Abnormal Behaviour (PSYO 2220.03), in the Winter term of the 2018-2019 Academic Year.  The class will be offered WF, 1305-1425 and the anticipated class size will be approximately 175 students.  The responsibilities of the successful applicant will include all lecture and test preparation, exam administration (including supplemental examinations), and also must be available for two hours per week for student consultation. This position reports to the Chair of the Department.
