Position: Part Time Academic – Fall 2016

Department:  Engineering

Pay Rate:  In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement

Work Assignment:   This Part Time Academic will teach APSC 2008 Digital Electronics and Computer Interfacing in the Fall 2016 on the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus.  The Fall offering is scheduled for 13 weeks, Tuesday evenings from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm and includes two full days on Saturdays.   The Part Time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, labs, test preparation and evaluation.  The position reports to the Chair of the Department.

Requirements:  Education; teaching experience at university level with experience in Digital Electronics and Computer Interfacing as they are offered in the high school program would be considered an asset; desirable attributes. (e.g., MSc in Engineering/Applied Science). Demonstrated teaching effectiveness is required.  Excellent interpersonal skills.

The Part Time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, labs, test preparation and evaluation.  The position reports to the Chair of the Department.

Requirements:  Education; teaching experience at university level with experience in Wood Construction Technology along with Technology Education in the school would be considered an asset; desirable attributes. (e.g., MSc in Engineering/Applied Science). Demonstrated teaching effectiveness is required.  Excellent interpersonal skills.
