Network Outage, Sunday, January 3, 2016.

On Sunday, January 3rd between 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM, software maintenance is being performed on a core network device in the Killam Data Centre that will impact users of IT services to and from Dalhousie University (Halifax).

The outage time is expected to be no more than 60 minutes but a four-hour window is being reserved in the event of any resultant impacts that may necessitate intermittent outages. The major impact will be Internet access to Dalhousie resources and services hosted wholly or partially in the Dalhousie Halifax campus data centre.

Among the services that will be affected:

·         Access to Office 365 Mail and Calendar
·         Access to Dalhousie resources such as the Dal public website (dal.ca), my.Dal, and Dal Online
