If you're a Dal student interested in how doctors are trained, consider joining Dalhousie Medical School's Volunteer Patient Program (VPP).
The VPP gives first-year medical students the opportunity to practise their interview and non-invasive examination skills on real people. Because of that, the program aims to recruit volunteer patients who have a health condition (asthma, epilepsy, digestive issues, etc). But if you're completely healthy, you can also sign up.
The VPP starts in early October and runs throughout the academic year. You can participate once or more than once -- whatever your schedule allows.
Volunteer patients receive $10/session.
For more information, visit the VPP website: www.medicine.dal.ca/volunteer.html
To sign up: email vppinfo@dal.ca or call 902.494.7746
