Position: Sessional Lecturer – Fall Semester, 2015
Department:  Plant and Animal Sciences
 
Pay Rate:  $6,681 - $7,924 (Inclusive of 4% Vacation Pay)
 
Work Assignment:   This Sessional Lecturer will teach lectures and labs for course, PLSC1000 – Farm Woodlot Management, for the period of September 10, 2015 – December 20, 2015.  The lectures for this course are currently scheduled for Tuesday/Thursday at 8:05 – 9:25, with labs being held on Monday at 14:05 – 16:55.   The Sessional Lecturer will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, labs, test preparation and evaluation.  The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
 
Requirements include:
Ph.D. (preferred) in the area of Forestry Science and/or Plant/Biological Science. Would consider a MSc. in the area of expertise, with a minimum of two years of experience. Demonstrated teaching experience required in a post-secondary level environment, with experience in horticulture and greenhouse management.  Previous experience in supervising students would be an asset.  The successful candidate will also possess resourcefulness, innovation, self-motivation and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
